Aileen Martin has been the Executive Director at NRCIL (Northern Regional Center for Independent Living) since 2014. Aileen started working in Independent Living in 1993 as a part time bookkeeper for NRCIL, served as the Director for four years, then left to investigate a career prospect in healthcare. She has been a champion for Bridges Out of Poverty since 2008 when finding the book on a shelf in the primary care clinic where she worked. Aileen is very happy to be back home at NRCIL and finds ways to integrate experiences and learning to deepen our knowledge and opportunities in the Independent Living movement.
