Sam Bryant
Core Services Advocate
I am an Independent Living advocate and Core Service Advocate committed to advancing the principles of consumer control, self-determination, accessibility, and meaningful community inclusion for people with disabilities. My perspective is grounded in lived experience and a strong belief that people with disabilities should have the opportunity to direct their own lives, make informed choices, and have genuine access to the supports and resources necessary to live independently. I bring a practical, person-centered perspective to Independent Living and understands the importance of ensuring that the voices of people with disabilities remain central to the work of Centers for Independent Living and the broader disability rights movement. He is particularly interested in strengthening peer support, self-advocacy, community participation, and opportunities for people with disabilities to identify and pursue their own goals. As an APRIL member, i hope to contribute my lived experience, advocacy perspective, and commitment to the Independent Living philosophy while learning from other advocates and CIL leaders across the country. I'm interested in helping APRIL continue to elevate the voices of people with disabilities and address barriers that affect independence, inclusion, and full participation in community life.
